STREAMLINED OPERATIONS AND HAPPIER CLIENTS WITH KYLE KRANCHER

We sat down with Coach Kyle Krancher from Train & Able to learn why he left TrueCoach and started using CoachRx for his in-person and online coaching business. Follow Kyle on Instagram here.

HOW HAS YOUR COACHING SERVICE EVOLVED SINCE SWITCHING TO COACHRX?

Where to begin! Having gone through the Opex CCP course, it was a seamless melding of exercise program principles and app functionality. Prior to CoachRx, I was a longtime TrueCoach user and became frustrated with the “clunkiness” of their business tools (or lack thereof). It functioned well enough for programming but I hardly used long term planning, short term planning, exercise priorities, fitness monitoring exercises, and lifestyle/nutrition guidelines. CoachRx has dedicated and intuitive functions for all these which boosts my efficiency and efficacy with clients. The app has made both front and back of house more robust without added complexity.

HOW HAS COACHRX IMPACTED YOUR BUSINESS, OPERATIONS, AND EXPENSES?

CoachRx has improved my business drastically by streamlining operations. Not to mention, it’s cut down on my expenses as the subscription is more affordable than TrueCoach.

For longer than I care to mention, TrueCoach had no payment processor integration or business suite. I had client’s payment dates built into my calendar where I would get a reminder, send them a Venmo request, and had to chase down any outstanding bills. It felt haphazard and unprofessional to jump through so many hoops to collect payment. Eventually TrueCoach integrated with Stripe, offering custom reporting. I could finally elevate my professionalism but was sadly let down as the feature failed to work as advertised from inception. After eight months of emailing support, I decided that was the last straw. Every time I asked about the timeframe to rectify the issue, I’d get a delayed response, devoid of any answer.

CoachRx has a wonderful business suite integrated with Stripe and pre-populated metrics upon navigating to the dashboard. With one click I can see my monthly gross revenue, net revenue, total subscriptions, monthly recurring revenue, average price point per client, and new clients added. I can easily run reports for custom dates, see successful, failed, and refunded payments, even house client waivers and a custom storefront website for my services. On TrueCoach, it was up to me to create all these reports by hand in a separate spreadsheet, let alone build my own website from scratch.

If I find myself or a client experiencing an issue, CoachRx support is responsive. Not to mention, there’s a product roadmap where you can vote for desired features, see what features are currently being developed, and what features have been delivered. TrueCoach offered none of this. All in all, CoachRx has given me all the business tools I’ve wanted and more, made operations simple, cut down my costs, and has supported me whenever I run into a snag.

WHAT ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR CLIENTS?

CoachRx has empowered my clients by giving them all the tools they need to succeed. On any given day, they can see all their prescriptions at a glance. If they’re unsure of a movement, they can view a demonstration video. If they’re still uncertain, they can comment on the workout or message me in the app. They also have access to performance tracking through exercises history as any results they’ve logged are readily available.

HOW HAS COACHRX IMPACTED YOUR COMMUNICATION WITH CLIENTS?

I believe it’s made communication immeasurably better. Through TrueCoach, there was a video function that I’d use to give feedback. However, upload times were slow, it was just me on camera, and I had to have a separate window open with all my points to cover. Now with CoachRx and the Loom integration, I can screen record, giving my live reaction to their uploaded exercise videos. There’s also built-in weekly check in forms, 7, 30, and 90 day compliances rates for exercise and lifestyle programs, percentage of clients corresponded with per week, built in messaging, and even a consultation booking link when text won’t do and a video call is in order. Being able to see all this at a glance makes sure no one is falling through the cracks with a growing client list.

HAVE YOU SEEN CHANGES IN YOUR PROGRAM DESIGN EFFICIENCY AND EXPERIENCE?

CoachRx has drastically improved my program design efficiency. I primarily work with new and returning gym goers so being able to periodize and set cycle priorities through both long and short term planning has made programming straight forward. When you upload a long term plan, it populates training priorities for their scheduled sessions on the calendar itself. There’s many keyboard shortcuts and drag and drop features. All these are the little things I love for programming in a timely manner.

I have one client who competed in a powerlifting meet while concurrently training for a 10k race thanks to these powerful programming tools. I’ve had another client who dropped 6lbs in a month after they’d been working out on their own with no change. I attribute that to the lifestyle programs feature.

HOW DOES COACHRX COMPARE TO OTHER FITNESS SOFTWARE YOU HAVE USED?

I think I’ve answered this one pretty thoroughly! Haha

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE COACHRX FEATURES?

CoachRx has so many features but the one that stands out the most is the business suite. It is the most user friendly and as useful suite I’ve used to date. Having these tools at my fingertips took me from being a hobbyist to a full blown business owner.

Another one of my favorite features in the Loom integration. It adds a personal element to an otherwise impersonal product. Forging strong relationships with clients is of the utmost importance to me and being able to give concrete and live video feedback has helped me do that.
